In October of 2011 we pressed lot 10 of our Camelina Oil. This oil, however, was not to be bottled as our original Three Farmers Camelina Oil. Instead, this would be the first of our line of infused oils – starting with a Roasted Garlic & Chilli. The pungent scent of Roasted Garlic infused beautifully with the fresh, earthy flavours of Camelina Oil. The infused Roasted Garlic & Chilli has all the lightness of the original, but with a fire hot finish.

The Camelina seed used in the pressing of lot 10 was grown by Colin Rosengren. It was seeded in the Fall of 2009 and harvested in Summer 2010. Fall seeding allows for the early emergence of the Camelina Plant in the Spring. This gives the crop a head start on any weeds that may try to choke it out. The growing conditions in Saskatchewan during the spring and summer of 2010 were ideal. With an abundance on sunshine and warm weather, this field of Camelina proved to be a winner!
